Bringing new water to the Barossa can result in complex interactions across land, water and agribusiness systems. These must be dealt with to counter potential short- or long-term impacts on the viability and resilience of the irrigation scheme, and for a ‘no surprises’ approach for potential investors in the scheme.

Stage 1 brings together regional growers, potential end users, technical experts, government agencies and regulators to build a shared understanding of the issues and principles; identify options and possible solutions and encourage broad, systems thinking.  The outcome, a Regional Issues and Options Report, will be available on this webpage at the end of July.
